With over a decade of experience across both the education system and private practice, Lara brings a warm, inclusive, and deeply person-centred approach to therapy. She is passionate about creating a space where all clients feel seen, respected, and supported as their authentic selves.
Working with children, adolescents, and adults, she has a holistic view of wellbeing, understanding that each person’s experiences, identity, and goals are unique. Therapy is always tailored to the individual, with a strong belief that there is no “one-size-fits-all” approach. Instead, she collaborates with clients to shape therapy in a way that truly fits, adapting pace, style, and strategies to meet each person where they are.
Her work draws on a range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and mindfulness practices. However, her primary focus is always the therapeutic relationship and creating a safe, affirming environment where meaningful change can occur.
Lara has a particular interest in supporting parents and caregivers, helping them better understand and connect with their children while building practical, compassionate strategies for navigating challenges together.
Above all, Lara is committed to making therapy accessible, affirming, and genuinely helpful, empowering clients to move toward their goals in ways that honour who they are.
